The Tests
The Key to LifeTM consists of five simple self administered tests chosen by our experts to help prevent the main causes of ill health:
- Blood Pressure: Chosen for the prevention of hypertension whilst also monitoring the effects of lifestyle changes on blood pressure. This test is aimed at reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases including heart attacks (MI) and strokes.
- Body Composition: This test measures both your Body Mass Index (BMI) and your Percentage Body Fat which can both be used to monitor any increase in body weight and detect early signs of obesity.
- Urine Dipsticks: A simple yet informative test that can reveal early signs of potentially serious diseases such as Type II diabetes and a number of urinary tract disorders including bladder cancer.
- Waist Measurement: This test is used as an accurate predictor of Type II diabetes risk.
- Activity Assessment: The use of a pedometer has been shown to lead to an increase in an individual’s physical activity, which in turn helps to reduce or prevent elevated blood pressure, assist with weight loss or preventing weight gain.
Helping you along the way
The Key to LifeTM gives you a secure and personal account that offers a number of support tools, including:
- Your wellness quotient: Input and track your test wellness to see how your results change throughout the year compared with other users on the system.
- Traffic light warnings: No complex medical jargon, simply receive a green, amber or red light for each test. This will indicate whether your result is good, in need of some attention or if you should pay a visit to your GP for further advice.
- Informative & supportive features: Includes clear explanations of each assessment and features on proven methods to improve and enhance your general health, wellbeing and quality of life.
- Weekly e-mail and text reminders: The system automatically sends you personalised reminders prompting you to take your tests and keep your online records up to date.
